DRI ranked 30th fastest-growing technology company in Portugal

DRI’s constant search for improvement is transversal to all areas of the company. It’s the way we work. As such, the Finance Department does its part by continually giving a transparent view of the company’s Financial Statements. On that note, DRI started negotiating an engagement with Deloitte that will start in January 2013.

Last September, when DRI was still fine-tuning its financial processes, the company received an invitation from Deloitte to apply to the Technology Fast 500 EMEA ranking. Submitting the company’s last five years’ financial statements would make DRI a candidate for a place in the ranking. It was discussed internally, and although knowing that it would be very difficult to make the 500 ranking we decided to take the leap.

This year Deloitte extended the criteria and analysis of the 500 fastest growing companies, and Portugal’s performance compared with previous years improved significantly. DRI was ranked 30th fastest-growing technology company in Portugal, with a percentage growth of 76% when comparing 2011 operational revenue against 2007 performance.

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited's (DTTL) Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA is one of Europe's most objective rankings for the technology, media and telecommunications industries. It was created to recognize the effort and dedication of those 500 fastest-growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and includes all areas of technology: from Internet to biotechnology; from medical and scientific to computers. It includes both public and private companies.

The winners are based on five-year average percentage growth for each technology company. The 500 that meet the strict definition of "technology companies with the fastest growth over five years" make the list. DTTL assumes that all information provided by each company is accurate and does not independently verify such information.
